3. We call clients to notify them that a deadline can not be met and set a new deadline.

4. We communicate frequently and candidly with our clients as to the status of their matters.

5. We listen empathetically and give supportive feedback.

6. We give our clients a realistic view of the possible outcomes of their case.

7. We view our client's matters in light of their overall situation rather than with tunnel vision.

8. We exercise judgment in our billing practices to assure our clients are not billed for our learning curve.

9. We encourage clients to do as much as they can for themselves and thereby cut down on their legal expenses.

10. We are tough but ethical and professional in our dealings with clients, opposing counsel and the Court.
